Health care and dental treatment for the people held by Australia in PNG is a continuing and growing disaster. Men have often been left without necessary treatments, surgeries and dental procedures, sometimes for years and with disastrous outcomes, and some men have been told they are no longer included in the Australian run health system for those detained and must pay for their own medications and procedures, despite having no way to provide this for themselves.
Gifts for Manus and Nauru aims to provide access to necessary medications, consults, testing, surgeries, medical equipment and dental treatment when the men are unable to access these from the Offshore Detention system.
